How to Make Inserts using Microsoft Excel

When it comes to making my own inserts, I absolutely prefer using Microsoft Excel over Microsoft Word. It doesn't freeze as much, has boxes so you can make sure everything is even, and has lots of easy ways to copy info over to other boxes. In this video I will show a very simple way to make some week on one page inserts! Hope this video was helpful, and if you do end up making your own i would love to see them! Comment below what kind of insert you plan on making and if you liked this video and want to see more!

Lined Week on Two Pages with Top 3 Side Bar

Here is the overdue lined weekly pages with the side bar where you can write your top 3 priorities, places to go, things to buy and more. I had made dated ones but they took too much time to resize since I only had it in A6 and most people use personal, so I decided on just making an undated version instead. You can download the A5 size, personal size, or pocket size! Hope you like these and can use them in your planners! Enjoy!

If you do end up using these I would love to see pictures. Tag me on Instagram @wenduhh_plans or #mswenduhhblog Please do NOT share the actual file or file link. Instead please send your friends here to download my free printables, thank you.

Glitter Flags Stickers Set (Gold, Silver, Blue, Red & Green!)

Today I am sharing these amazing glitter flags with you all! I made them because I love glitter but I hated how thick the glitter cardstock was in my planner. With these you can  easily decorate your pages for the holidays! You can have all kinds of themes with these sets!

There are a total of five files available to download. There is a gold set, silver set, blue/teal set, and a red/green set. Or if you'd like a bit of each you can download this sampler set!

There are all kinds of flags as you can see below. They all fit the Erin Condren planner perfectly, I made a variety of horizontal, vertical, short, long, and full boxed flags to decorate and plan in your planners. The best part of these printable glitter flags is that you can actually write on them, unlike glitter cardstock!

For those of you with a Silhouette Cameo or Portrait Machine...I am providing this Silhouette Studio file for you all to print and cut these glitter flags easily! But please do not try to sell them, or I would have to stop providing these files for free! Thank you!

If you do end up using these I would love to see pictures. Tag me on Instagram @wenduhh_plans or #mswenduhhblog

Currently & Today I felt...Stickers for Erin Condren Planners

I have been using my Erin Condren Planner as a journal/memory book for the past couple of weeks and I absolutely love it! But with a new use, I of course needed new stickers! So here are some currently stickers for the sidebar under weekly goals and notes, and also some "today I felt..." stickers for the last row of the ECLP.

The Currently stickers include the following:
  • Reading
  • Listening to
  • Watching
  • Making
  • Planning
  • Loving
  • Dreading
  • Wearing
  • Wanting
  • Needing
  • Thinking
  • Enjoying
The way I use it is just by filling it out on a day whenever I have extra time. It's nice to see what was currently popular (music or TV shows) or what I used to do. I thought it was a great way to not have to do it everyday as it might get kind of repetitive. I may even just put it in my monthly view and choose one day a month.

As for the today I felt stickers...I like to write my feelings and how I felt or my mood for the day under each day on the lines at the bottom of the Erin Condren Planner. But I quickly became lazy and tired of writing "today I felt.." every single day! So instead, I made these stickers to just stick it on and quickly write my feelings or moods!

Anyways I hope you enjoy these freebies!

How To Use Multiple Planners

I get questions all the time about how I manage so many planners. I have tried many times to stick to one planner, but I just can't do it. I can't help it, I am a planner addict. I need my planners. I can't not use all of them. Honestly though, I really only use one calendar, the rest are to manage other parts of my lives. If I could, I would make one big fat planner, but because the rings in most planners cannot accommodate my whole life on paper and I am a weakling and wouldn't be able to carry it, are the reasons why I use so many planners.

Note: This was my previous setup. I will post another update after that gets all situated. I am trying a new system right now where I use only my mulberry as my planner and calendar and the ECLP as a reflection/journal/scrapbook instead. I love my ECLP but it just isn't working out for me anymore. For the past few weeks I have been trying to use only my ECLP but it just hasn't been working out for me. It did in the past when I first started planning, but I love the size of the mulberry much more!

Main Planner: Erin Condren Life Planner

My main planning calendar planner is the Erin Condren Life Planner. It is perfect since it has tabs for the months and the weekly view is vertical with sections (I love sectioning off things). It is big enough to write down events and everyday things, and it is also super cute and colorful! I write down all of my appointments, birthdays, events and more inside this planner. I write it twice, both in the monthly and the weekly views. I also use it to track my home cleaning tasks as it is my home planner. I use it everyday but it stays at home only.

I have my morning, day and night sections set as "home", "family & appts.", and "personal".
  • In my home section (the first box) I write down everything that needs to get cleaned like laundry (whites, darks, delicates, towels etc), floors, bathroom and such.
  • In the family & appts. section (the second box), I write down activities for my kids, anything my fiance needs me to help him remember, events that we do as a family, places we have to go, people we need to visit, and also any appointments we may have that day.
  • In the personal section (the third box) I write down my own personal tasks like painting my nails, organizing my stickers, things I need to get done on the computer, stuff like that.
  • Then on the bottom row, I used to use it for meal planning, but this week I tried something new. Now I plan on just writing highlights of the day. I used to do that a while back and love seeing little memories at the bottom of the day.
I plan on using this Erin Condren planner as a memory book as well. Especially next year's since it is coiled, and I won't have to worry about loose pages. I would like to look back at each year and see everything I did plus a little memory of that day! This is why stickers and decorating are a must in this planner! I don't decorate at all really in any of the other planners.

Personal/Ideas Planner: Mulberry Agenda

The Mulberry Agenda is close to a personal sized Filofax, just shorter and wider. It holds the A6 paper size. I love the size. It is small enough to carry around and fat enough to write in. This is my ideas planner. I have sections for my blog, quotes, notes, lists and such for all of my running ideas (an updated setup post will follow soon, for now see my other setup here).

I also keep an appointments printable and a basic month on one page calendar to write down any appointments I may have to write down when out and about. For a while I was using daily pages and planning everyday in there. I would plan the next day the night before and it worked wonderfully for a while, but I felt my Erin Condren was being neglected. Then I tried using both, but it felt so repetitive. So just recently I just took out my daily section and am placing one of these daily pages in between my weeks everyday. After that day I just toss it out. Most days I don't even hole punch it into my EC, I just simply paper clip or place it in there (which will be great once I go back to the coiled planner next year).

Anyways back to the Mulberry. I like to think of this planner as my brain dump. Any idea that pops into my head goes into this planner. I have tons of sticky notes for any note taking I need to take and file it accordingly afterwards. I also have a printable draft section, where I draw/sketch out my printables to see how it looks inside the actual planner.

In the lists section I have a new A-Z section! (again, updated mulberry planner setup post will be up later). I have lists for only a few things right now but if I need to add a section I can do so easily. My current sections are for G-Gift Ideas,  K-Kids Activities, O-Online Orders, and of course W-Wish Lists. I wrote down a few more ideas I had for other letters in my notes section as well. It's working out perfectly for now.

I try to take this planner everywhere with me, because I hate when I have an idea pop into my head but I have no where to write it down!

Blog Planner: Personal-Planner

My next planner is my awesome personal-planner from personal-planner.org! I am so glad I have it! I went with the time stamped schedule vertical layout with a lined to do section, which is perfect for my time management (see my personal-planner here). Since I am not getting paid a lot from this blog I try my best to manage how much time I spend on this. I get so caught up in making stickers and printables that I sometimes forget to clean up the house! So with this planner I write down one or two things I want to get done for the blog in the to-do section underneath the schedule, and try to work no more than two hours on it day. If I work on it longer I write down how long I did by using the time stamped schedule in the weekly view. Then I have a customized "hours" box to write how long I worked on the blog in total for the day.

In the back pages I have a blog planner, blog stats and statistics, and blog checklists. It has really kept me organized and in control of my blog.

Wallet Planner: Pocket Filofax - Patent Duck Egg Blue

Finally, my small pocket Filofax! Now I really don't plan in this at all. It is just a wallet with a spending tracker. I hardly ever use it unless I am shopping. I keep my cards, cash, and coupons in here. I have a shopping list section, budgeting section, and a weekly view page where I track my spending. More on this can be found in my wallet setup post here. It's a great way to see where all of my money is going and helps me keep track of how much money we actually have since the bank always takes a few days for things to go through, you know?

So yup. That's how I use all of my many planners! I know a lot of people who use many planners for fitness and health, school, work, and more. What do you use your  planners for? I hope this post has helped you gain some insight on how to use more than one planner in your life and how it works for me.

Monthly Goals Calendar for 2014-2015

Here is my new monthly goals calendar. They are similar to these here but this time I have it for the whole year starting from now until December 2015! I am also happy to tell you that these are available in all sizes too! Woo hoo!

I love using calendars like this where I can see the month at a glance and just write down events or goals for the month below. There is even space in the boxes to maybe color code or mark things down. I hope you like these and can use these in your planners!

Organized Desktop Wallpaper

I've received great feedback from my instagram post for my wallpaper desktop organization, so I thought I would share it with everyone to use!  I totally do not take credit for this idea however. I just Googled "organized desktop" and there were plenty of wallpapers! But none that fit me perfectly, so of course I had to make my own in Photoshop. For more desktop organizing tips go here!

Take a look here at how I organize mine:

I am constantly saving tons of files onto my desktop, it's the only place I really look. After I am done with most files I copy it into our hard drive/ my book and just delete it off the computer to save space. I love the categories I've created for myself and I will provide that wallpaper if you like them too. I have a space for personal, tools, miscellaneous, to be filed, then current projects with a finish now and to do later box. It's perfect for my blogging.

I will also post a blank version for you and you can just use an editing software or picmonkey.com to write in your own text in the blank labels! I have mine as 1920x1080 to fit my iMac computer, test to see if it fits your desktop, if not jsut resize it to yours. You can find your computer's size on a Mac by clicking on the apple>about this mac>displays. It should say in parentheses. If you are on a PC look for something about the info of your computer as well.

Another thing I do to keep it all neat is highlighting all folders in each section then right clicking and clicking on clean up selection. Just to make it all lined up and neat!

Good Luck organizing your desktop! & now you will have a colorful, cute, and functional wallpaper for your computer!

Using the Silhouette for Planning!

If you have been following me on Instagram and Facebook, you might have seen lots of pictures of my silhouette portrait and the stickers I have been making! I am in love with this machine. It is best! I can literally use it for everything! I am still learning as I go and I will be sharing my designs for free as a printable here on my blog.

First and foremost, this machine is absolutely perfect for getting perfect kiss cut sticker sheets! Sure you can just buy tons of stickers already made, but wouldn't it be nice to have your own customized stickers? Just the way you like, the way you want, the way you've always imagined! Well, now I can make any kind of stickers or labels for our planners! You can use their designer studio to get the perfect sized label to fit your Erin Condren,  Plum Paper Planner, Day Designer, Filofax, Kikki-K, whatever you have! It will be so much easier to cut these section heading stickers and these banner planner stickers! They have all kinds of sticker paper for us to use too! There's clear sticker paper, white sticker paper, gold foil, silver foil, adhesive washi sheets, and sooo much more!

Can you imagine what you can make. I'm thinking dashboards, custom cut quotes, bookmarks, cute paper clips, and ... yeah I can go on forever...

I also made some labels for my Erin Condren Address Book to use as a password keeper. These were super tiny and would've taken me years to cut by hand!

Here is another set of Silhouette Stickers that I have made...cute weather stickers! I was so proud of myself for getting it to cut so nicely on my first try. I just left the default settings and it worked perfectly!

I quickly learned about offsetting and made my cuts even more precise and perfect!

The silhouette isn't only for stickers however, there are so many digital designs in their shop that I bought with the free $10 download card in the box! Some that I think are perfect for planning include the:

That's crazy right?! Especially the 3D ones, you can make all kinds of organizers, drawers and more to store all of our little planning essentials! I totally wanted all of those organizers! Look at those chevron cut dividers, and cute stickers. The possibilities are literally endless!
Here are some dividers I made using the personal sized dividers design, I adjusted it a bit to fit my A6 and they fit pretty well!

I am also currently using some of their designs to decorate my son's first birthday coming up really soon! We are going with a vintage airplane theme!  I plan on using their tattoo sticker paper to print out "Jax" with an airplane as a party favor hehe. And I bought their Metallic Sketch Pens to write and draw a design on the favor bags. I will show that in another blog post though!

I hope you enjoyed this post and find more ways to use your Silhouette!
